  • Experimental research concerning the liquid metals heat pipes manufacture and testing.

1981

  • Beginning manufacture of heat pipes; carbon steel tubes, acetone working fluid.

1981 - 1985

  • Theoretical and experimental research concerning gravity-assisted wickless heat pipe design.
  • Research in regard to get a theory for the heat pipe heat exchangers design.
  • Experimental research concerning the utilization of some new types of heat pipes for hear exchangers manufacture.
  • Theoretical and experimental research concerning the heat pipes optimization in view of their utilization for hear exchangers manufacture.
  • Manufacture of acetone heat pipes for a cloth drying machine heat exchanger
  • Manufacture of F-22 heat pipes for a water-water heat pipe heat exchanger.

1985 – 1989

  • Theoretical and experimental research concerning the heat pipes utilization for cooling electronic components.
  • Heat exchange equipments and catalysis reactors based on heat pipes.
  • Manufacture and test of heat pipes to be used at heat exchangers for lime kilns.
  • Experimental research concerning the manufacture and test of heat pipe devices for power electronics cooling. Manufacture of a heat pipe cooling device for a 1000 A thyristor
  • Theoretical and experimental research concerning the utilization of medium temperature heat pipes for heat exchanger manufacture.
  • Finding the optimum heat pipes for heat exchangers working at temperatures around 350 oC.

December 1989 The Revolution and political changes made possible the private initiative.

1990 – TRANSTERM was founded.

1990 – 1993

  • Low temperature heat pipes for heat recovery systems. Experimental research in view of using the classical plate finned tube bundles for the manufacture of heat pipe heat exchangers.
  • Manufacturing of ammonia and acetone heat pipe heat exchangers for two 40,000 Nm3/h drying ovens.
  • Manufacturing of acetone heat pipe heat exchanger for a wood drying oven.
  • Design and manufacture of a 30,000 Nm3/h heat pipe air preheater for a distillation oven in a refinery.

1993 - Attended the action "Cooperation in science and technology with central and eastern european countries – go west fellowship scheme" organized in the frame of Commission of the European Communities. The approved research work was "The heat pipe – a new technology for energy saving in industry". The host institution was Scurrah Hytech Products Ltd., U.K.

1994 – 1995

  • Chinese – Romanian scientific research program "Liquid metal heat pipes in industry".
  • Attended with heat pipe themes the TEMPUS Program of the Commission of the European Communities: European master of science degree in energy management and mechanical engineering.
  • Attended communications on heat pipes organized by The Free University of Brussels, Belgium and Southampton University, UK.

1993 – 1999

  • Heat pipe heat recovery system for preheating feeding water at 20 t/h steam boiler.
  • Sodium heat pipes for catalytic reactors in chemical industry.
  • ECONOTERM® for SC FOREST PRODUCT Pitesti - ROMANIA.
  • ECONOTERM® for SC LUBRIFIN SA Brasov - ROMANIA.
  • Heat pipe oil preheater for SC LUBRIFIN SA Brasov - ROMANIA.
