Heat Pipe Air Preheater for Adhesive Tapes Manufacturing Line


      The system using four units like the one presented in the photograph has been working since 1995 for a Romanian factory in chemical industry and is designed to preheat the fresh air introduced in two manufacturing lines for adhesive tapes.

 

  

 

     The system has the following features:

        • Hot exhausts rate: 160,000 Nm3/h (all four units).
        • Preheated air rate: 175,000 Nm3/h (all four units).
        • Hot exhausts inlet temperature: 90 -100 °C.
        • Preheated air outlet temperature: 55 - 65 °C.
        • Heat recovered: 2,100 kw (1,806,000 Kcal/h).
        • Material of the heat pipes: aluminum pipes with integrated fins.
        • Working fluid: ammonia.
        • Total number of heat pipes: 2,540 pieces (for 4 units).

      TRANSTERM® offers this system as a heat recovery tool applicable for any kind of gaseous heat sources having the temperatures in the range of 50 … 400 °C.
      The system can be designed into a variety of shapes and sizes to meet specific heat source requirements, and to fit the customers’ applications.
